Description

• Located near the homonymous parish church, on a stretch of the Via Francigena, the Castello di Coiano is one of the oldest agricultural companies in the Valdelsa area which extends for approximately 350 hectares of which 25 are planted with vineyards and with 3500 olive trees, in addition to some estates located near Vinci, Cerreto Guidi and Baratti.
  In this experience you will have the opportunity to choose 3 types of tasting: "I nostri classici" with Trebbiano, Chianti and Chianti Riserva wines, "I peccati di gola" with Vermentino, Peccato and Vin Santo or "L'intruso" (Vermentino, 1 red premium, Occhio di Pernice).
  The tasting will be accompanied by some appetizers such as bruschetta, focaccia, cheese, chips, peanuts, crackers and cantuccini.

• The truffle hunt will take place directly inside the "tartufaia" of the Castello di Coiano estate. Leonardo, together with his faithful Lagotti Romagnoli Aki and Roi, will guide you to the secret places where the diamond of the earth is born and develops, and will also explain to you why it is precisely in those points that it is possible to find the precious truffle and all the secrets linked to this mysterious world .
  At the end of the truffle hunt, you will walk to the Castello di Coiano, admiring the vineyards where the estate's grapes ripen. Tommaso, the owner, will guide you to discover the underground cellars in which the wine is aged in barrels. The tasting of truffle-based products and six glasses of wine will follow the visit to the "vinsantaia", an evocative place steeped in history and aromas of the typical Tuscan sweet wine.

• The starting point of this experience - ideal for children - is at the "L'Orto Sotto Casa" farm in Certaldo, where you will meet Mirko who will lead you to his vegetable garden.
  Once on the spot you will learn about the names and the various species of plants such as courgettes, melons, Certaldo onions, chillies, potatoes, carrots and many other varieties that change according to the season.
  Mirko will explain to you the phases ranging from sowing to harvesting in the various periods of the year and will teach you how to collect vegetables, you can also visit the chicken coop and collect the eggs that the hens lay every day.
  At the end of this experience, after a short journey, you will have a light lunch/dinner with fresh genuine products with a platters of cured meats and artisan cheeses, tastings of products made with vegetables from the garden, bruschetta, water and wine.

• Would you like to have a ceramic decoration experience?
  The ceramist teachers Monica and Cinzia are waiting for you in their workshop "Artesia" located in the medieval village of Certaldo to teach you the techniques of majolica decoration. In the typical ambience of an artisan workshop, you will learn how to decorate ceramics with flowers, fruits, landscapes and the classic "montelupina" decor, adding a personal touch of originality to the object created during the lesson that at the end of the course (after cooking*) you will take away.
