The Big Bench
If you are traveling the Via Francigena on foot or by bicycle, it is worth making a small detour and reaching the top of a hill where there is a beautiful giant bench (Big Bench).
From here you can enjoy unique peace and silence as well as a splendid 360-degree panorama of the hills of the surrounding countryside with a view that ranges from Castelfiorentino to Gambassi Terme and Montaione.
This bench - installed by the "La Rotonda" cycling group - is part of the "Big Bench Community Project" circuit which brings together over 300 benches scattered throughout Italy.
