DOCG Chianti

Wine obtained from a careful selection of grapes grown in a hilly terrain at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level.
It has a bright ruby red color and the aroma is elegant and persistent with hints of red berry fruits such as black cherry and sweet violet. On the palate it is soft and balanced with great taste finesse. It goes perfectly with roasted meats and medium-aged cheeses.

  • Vinification Technique

    The grapes are vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in concrete and steel vats with selected yeasts. More or less long maceration depending on the variety and year at 28/30°C with daily pumping over and delestage to facilitate the extraction of polyphenolic substances. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously immediately after alcoholic fermentation.

  • Refining / Aging

    Aged 18 months in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Subsequently it is assembled in cement, clarified and aged in bottle for a further 6 months.

  • Harvest

    Merlot first ten days of September, Colorino and Sangiovese last ten days of September.
