The history of the “Antico Forno” is related exclusively to the passion of Lapo Biagini, a Tuscan for generations who, after working for a few years in London where he learns the art of making bread, decides to return at home in Tuscany to dedicate himself completely to his passion by taking over the bakery that is still alongside the Church of San Regolo in the historic center of Montaione.

He decides to call it “Antico” (Ancient) Forno because the laboratory where Lapo produces its products every day is probably the oldest in Montaione and from which long time ago began the art of “making bread”, giving life to the famous bread of Montaione.

Lapo is also an excellent pizza maker who daily prepares a large variety of pizzas (click here to download the pizza menu) “on the slice”, to be enjoyed directly at the point of sale, or, upon reservation,  for “take away” (also with home delivery with small extra cost).

Today the Antico Forno offers a multitude of products: from wood-baked bread strictly “without salt” as the Tuscan tradition, bread with 8 cereals or antique grain, croissants, baguettes, flatbread, and many other products for your breakfast, all prepared with high quality raw materials.

Opening hours and services

At the shop in Via della Torre, 2, open every day (closed on monday) from 7.30 to 12.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00 in addition to the fragrance of freshly baked bread, you will find Lapo and his wife, always attentive to the needs of their customers.
