TENUTA MORINIELLO
The Gobbo Nero is a pure syrah, obtained from the selection of the best bunches of our vineyards. With an intense ruby color, it surprises the nose with pleasantly intense notes of pepper, then cinnamon, then berries, such as currants and blueberries, on a fruity cherry base.
The attack in the mouth is compelling, with fine and subtle tannins, a solid, balanced body with a fresh calibrated note. The finish is inviting and complex.
It goes well with well-structured dishes based on meat and succulent sauces, deer, beef, veal, lamb and aged cheeses.
Before drinking, it is recommended to uncork and decant the bottle an hour before.

The production of the Il Gobbo Nero comes from the company-owned vineyards, all organic, which are located on the hills that surround Montaione, in the province of Florence, about 350 meters above sea level.

Vinification Technique
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first days of October, transported to the cellar and carefully selected before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in cement vats and maceration on the skins for about a month with manual pumping over and punching down.

Aging in French oak barriques for over 16 months and at least 12 in bottle.
