Where to buy Chianti wine in Montaione?

Wine is one of the oldest beverage, may born by chance, that only with the passage of time has been refined thank to developped vinification technique. Wine is a natural beverage and not only used like a drink but also in the Tuscan cooking to prepare dishes and recipes to whom gives deliciuos tastes. In a document dated back to 1398 is certified for the first time the Chianti Wine, that it was white and a low quality. Later, in 1427 Chianti wine became red, the quality increase and it is used by the Popes. In 1713 in two proclamations by Cosimo III Grand Duke of Tuscany fixed the border of the Chianti Area and a regulation.

The most important person for the Chianti wine has been Bettino Riscasoli, a brigth and passioned farmer and oenologist. He produced in castello di Brolio an high quality red wine as the other superiod Italian and French red wines. Bettino Ricasoli starts the trade of the Chianti Wine and exported all over the world.

Chianti wine is mainly produced with two kinds of red grapes: "Canaiolo" (from 5% up to 10%) and "Sangiovese" (from 75% up to 90%); than two kind of white grapes "Malvasia" and "Trebbiano" (from 2% up to 5%).

Montaione, thank to a mild climate of its territory, there are many hectares cultivated with vineyards and where is produced and excellent Chianti wine in addiction to other wines like white, Rosè or Barriques.
