Scipione Ammirato "il giovane"Scipione Ammirato il Giovane (alias Cristoforo Del Bianco) born in 1582 by Francesco, a mason of Montaione, and Susanna Marchi. When he was 16 years old he moved to Florence working as a scribe by the historian Scipione Ammirato, incharged by the Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici to write Florentine Histories. When the teacher died, the 30 january 1600, Cristoforo del Bianco come into the name and properties of Scipione Ammirato and he to carried on his teacher's work, adding some news he could find in the Florence Archive because he also worked as imployer at "l'Uffizio delle Riformagioni". When he took the degree in theology, Scipione Ammirato il Giovane start a brilliant career at the Medici's court: he was secretary of Grand Duke and Prince Lorenzo de' Medici, and hold a diplomatic office at the French Court for Grand Duke Cosimo II.From 1641 to 1647 he printed the second edition of Florentine History of Scipione Ammirato il Vecchio, updated by the old alumnus now rich and famous.
