In a land full of cultural traditions dealing with art and craft, as Tuscany is, one can't help finding typical and natural products resulting from a territory characterized by uncontaminated nature.
It is in order to celebrate the products of our beloved Tuscany that in Montaione we've been celebrating for fourteen years the "Feast of Truffle and Typical Products", an unmissable date with autumn flavours that will take place from 28 to 29 October 2006, according to the tradition, in the park of Villa Serena.
This feast, which started fourteen years ago from an idea conceived by the old guests of Villa Serena, has become nowadays one of the most important feast of Tuscany connected to the good products of our land. You are going to find not only the “king” of table, that's to say the White Truffle, but even other excellent products of our hills and men's work, as Chianti Wine, chestnuts, top-quality olive oil, and an incredible variety of mushrooms.
The volunteers of Villa Serena, together with the local producers and the historical centre's shopkeepers are ready to welcome the peaceable gourmet's invasion that will overrun the streets of our village, and to offer them all their art and let the visitors spend a pleasant and cheerful afternoon. Roaming through the gastronomy stands, full of delicious food, you will smell the unique odour of truffle, and you will see dogs dig out from ground the precious tuber. You will taste the local specialities and buy the products from Montaione and Tuscany.
The feast of truffle and typical products is an excellent occasion to spend a pleasant holiday in Montaione, or a weekend dedicated to the discovering of nature flavours and typical products of Tuscany: a way to have fun in a delicious feast.
