The Epiphany

During the month of December, all shops of Montaione will be open to offer the best shopping opportunities in the Christmas atmosphere.

Yesterday took place in the historic centre of Montatone, the market for local products and handicrafts. This market, which takes place every first Tuesday of June, July, August and September, is without a doubt one of the most characteristic markets of the calendar of events of Summer Montaionese.
During the event, were set up gastronomic stands, where the farms of Montaione gave samples of their products, such as Chianti wine, olive oil, grappas and vin santo. In other stands was also possible to taste cakes, Tuscan salami and cheeses. In the streets of the historical centre, were set up stands with a lot of handicrafts and antiques products of tuscany.
The market of tuesday, saw the participation of so many tourists who stay in accommodations near Montaione, that were looking for something to bring home as remember of their holiday in Tuscany. Starting from July supermarket Coop of Montaione has decided to offer all visitors that will stay in the farmhouses or vacation homes of the territory a nice gift.
In fact they have distributed some shopping vouchers – one per each family – to spend at supermarket Coop of Montaione for a value of 3,00 euros that tourist can be request during their stay.
We remember that supermarket Coop of Montaione will be open till the end of august on Sunday morning from 8.30 to 12.30.

We are happy to inform all visitors who has choosen Montaione for their holidays in Tuscnay that is now possible to make shopping on Sunday too! This useful service offered by supermarkets in Montaione give you the opportunity to make shopping on Sunday above if you arrive late on Saturday and all shops are already closed.
For that reason supermarkets like Coop, Pam and Villani e Valentini that present a huge range of typical products like bread, pasta, wine, oil, vegetables and much more are open on Sunday.

In Via Comiti, just few kilometres away form the historical centre of Montaione is now open a new shopping mall “I Cipressi”.
