Like every year, last Sunday 28 of October, it has been carried out the Festival of Truffle and chestnut, that thank to a sunny day with mild temperatures, has attracted many visitors and connoisseur of Truffles.
During the festival it was possible to buy at the many gastronomic stands together with the white truffle, some typical and local products like the Chianti wine, the extravergine oil of olive, cheese and salami, while in some restaurants it was possible to taste some dishes with truffle.
Like every first Tuesday of each month of summer, last 3rd of July has carried out in the street of historical centre of Montaione the festival of handicrafts and typical products.
The road of Montaione have been transformed into an enchanting market under the Tuscan sky.
In fact, the road of Montaione were dressed with stands with typical and local products, while in the main square of Piazza della Repubblica it was possible to get free taste of products offered by local farmers.
It was possible to taste Chianti wines together with the famous Truffle of Montaione.
The festival has continued till midnight giving visitors the opportunity to relax buying something to take home, thank to the cooperation of the shops who have been open until the end of the festival. The success of the vent has been demonstrated by the numerous visitors, most of them where tourist who had decided to spend an holiday in Tuscany and stay in the many farmhouse or holiday home in the surrounding.
Do not forget the next events and festival of typical products that will take place next Tuesday 7th august and 4th September, a new way to experience the Tuscan tradition.

Yesterday from 10.00am to 18.00pm , in the historical centre of Montaione has been carried out the “Market of Springtime’s Farming”. This festival - one of the Estate Montaionese event’s caledar - has been organized by local farmers and others coming from the surrounding Tuscan villages.
Each farmer with his own stand, has presented typical products made in their farms. Visitors had the opportunity to taste and buy, chianti wine, cheese, extra vergine oil of olive, and also herbs (sweet marjora, thyme, basil) in addition to many flowers.
Farmers has been glad to let people taste their genuine products and to explain how they produce them.
Yesterday, thanks to a sunny day with a mild climate, has been ideal to guarantee the success of the festival. Many tourist who has decided to spend their holidays in Tuscany in a farm or in an holiday home, has appreciated this festival spending few hours of relax walking in the historical centre of Montaione.
As a long tradition, yesterday in Montaione has been carried out the15th festival of truffles. This event attract since many years lots of truffle’s lovers and in paricular of the white Truffle or “Tuber magnatum Pico” - the most precious one - that naturally grow in the territory of Montaione. The festival has been carried out in the park of Villa Serena with gastronomical stands where it was possible to taste - together with the famous truffles - many typical products from the local farms that has presented their Chianti wine, extra vergine oil of olive, honey and cheese. In the historical centre and on the main road of Montaione there where other stands with local handicraft products that have enjoyed lots of visitors appealed by a warm climate and a sunny day. Those who have spent and holiday in Tuscany it has been a right opportunity to taste the typical products and spend a relaxing day.
