Last Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Piazza della repubblica, in the historic centre of Montaione was  planned an event of the Calendar Estate Montaionese called “Ballando sotto le Stelle” Dancing under the stars.
In warm evening of August, cheerful music has animated the village of Montaione, allowing couples, more or less young people dancing and having fun under the stars.
It was possible to dance with modern Italian and foreign music, as well as revival, valzer, cha-cha-cha, group dances… in an atmosphere of fun.

Alberto Montagnani in art Mons was born on 26 July 1973 in Siena in Tuscany. A few months later, the family moved in Montaione, the province of Florence, where Alberto attended the public music school learning “solfeggio” followed by the study of “quartino”.
He composes some jingle for local radio, this let him to be known in the Florentine music ambient while in 1989 comes as bassist to join for some evenings, Goppions, a rock group by Irene Grandi. He continue to study singing and acoustic guitar, showing a particular interest in American folk music, blues and country and the finger-picking technique which is a true master developing an original style.
His artistic ability gave him the opportunity to appear on television participating in television programmes like ” Il futuro?…è uno show”, “Sarà ora?”, “Mediterraneo Festival” and “La fabbrica della musica ” where showing his abilities as a singer and musician.
In 2007, leaves the album “Il Bambino delle Fragole” with 12 songs that represent a mixture of folk music, pop, country, merged together by the skilful of this true Italian singer.
On 26 August he played in Piazza della Repubblica in Montaione, an event that is part of the Events Calendar of Summer Montaionese 2008 by attracting not only many fans but also many tourists that are still on holiday in Montaione interested to listen this local singer.

The Toscana Jazz Festival is a series of concerts dedicated to jazz music that take place in various towns of Tuscany throughout the summer. In Tuscany Jazz Festival perform musical groups, whose artists are well known nationally and internationally, presenting jazz music in its wide exception proposal also with Latin and modern rhythmic variations. The Tuscany Jazz Festival begins today in Montaione in Piazza della Repubblica to 21.30.
The festival includes three evenings of concerts during which perform three bands: “Mad Loredana Lubrano & Orchestra”, “The Tropical mood” and “Andrea Valeri” that despite his young age has an important musical experience. Tuesday, July 29, performs Loredana Lubrano & Mad Orchestra, a band composed of 5 entries, 3 and 5 brass elements of rhythm that suggests music mixed with jazz melodies and Neapolitan rhythmic. Wednesday July 30 it was the turn of The Tropical mood, a quintet that plays latin jazz music, while Thursday, July 31 Andrea Valeri will presents its music playing the guitar with the technique “finger style”.

Ciccia e Vino is the name of a new event dedicated to the typical products of Tuscany carried out Sunday, July 12 in the historic centre in Montaione. In an atmosphere of joy and welcomed by a small orchestra that accompanied with a pleasant background, the many tourists in this period spend their holidays in Tuscany in Montaione, were able to taste the Florentine steak (Ciccia) and wine of Montaione. It was also possible to taste other products typical of Tuscany and Montaione as the Tuscan bread (strictly without salt) and “bruschetta”, all seasoned with Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil.
In the central square of Montaione were in fact set up large tables and under the eyes of all was cooked Florentine steak, but also sausage, pork and chicken. The barbecue makes the Tuscany famous all over the world because cooking a steak is a real ceremony that requires care, time and dedication.
Only in this way the result is amazing and good for the palate! The smell of barbecue, music and happiness of all those who participated made the Sunday evening of Montaione different and enjoyable!

There is no country in Tuscany without its own band. In Montaione we have Philharmonic Donizetti, an historic band founded in 1872.

Filarmonica Donizetti, always attends the most important festival and events in Montaione, like the Festival of San Regolo, the Festival of End Summer, and other events dedicated to the music like parades, that every year are carried on in Montaione.
Each time that Filarmonica Donizetti play its huge musical repertoire followed by a group of majorettes, fascinate many people, lover of music and traditions, but also many tourist that every year spend their holiday in Tuscany in the territory of Montaione.

Yesterday took place in the historic centre of Montatone, the market for local products and handicrafts. This market, which takes place every first Tuesday of June, July, August and September, is without a doubt one of the most characteristic markets of the calendar of events of Summer Montaionese.
During the event, were set up gastronomic stands, where the farms of Montaione gave samples of their products, such as Chianti wine, olive oil, grappas and vin santo. In other stands was also possible to taste cakes, Tuscan salami and cheeses. In the streets of the historical centre, were set up stands with a lot of handicrafts and antiques products of tuscany.
The market of tuesday, saw the participation of so many tourists who stay in accommodations near Montaione, that were looking for something to bring home as remember of their holiday in Tuscany. In the charming scenery of the cloister of San Vivaldo, in the municipality of Montaione, this year held an event one of the most interesting of Tuscany. Also this summer 2008 will be possible to participate at “CLASSICA”, a festival of classical music concerts, that for all the Sundays of the month of July, from 18.00 hours, will give the opportunity to music lovers to take part in an exciting event.
Within the cloister of the Franciscan convent musicians will perform in songs of the most famous composers including Mozart, Vivaldi, Donizetti, Prokof’ev.
The entire cost of the ticket will be 7.00 euros, reduced 3.00 euros, while the subscription for all four concerts will cost 20.00 euros.
Those who will spend their holidays in Tuscany, in Montaione, in July will be able to choose the concert who prefer and spend an afternoon with music.
